Another Town Centre Shop Is Shut Down

Target Technics in the centre of Accrington has now closed down, i went past on thursday and it was empty. I know alot of people do not agree with the sale of guns etc, but Target Technics has been in Accrington for years and its just a further example of yet another long standing shop closing down.

Although i live in Accy I no longer work in the town however went into the towm centre and the Arndale centre and the town is dying. It's so sad to see all the empty shops although as they are mostly the multi nationals I guess it's no different them every other high street. The problem is Accrington is not large enough for the remaining shops to have enough pulling power compared to our larger neighbours or the out of town outlets

on the bright side if more shops shut in the arndale it may be too much of an expense to keep it open for a small amount of shops forcing the ones left to take over teh pound and charity shops leaving teh arndale empty and ready for demoloshing

that arndale center alone was teh begining af teh death of accrington town center and the final kick in teh nuts was when all teh big names pulled out tehir shops and moved them to whitebirk

Its like a ghost town now... and it will only get worse: dread to think what it will be like in a few months:

Hopefully if all the big chains move out some quality local shops will get a chance?

i can remember when accy had loads of those sam, sadly they all died off, when the "Whitebirks" n such came to pass, don't think much chance of a revival, though it would be nice.
