It hasn't suddenly banned 'saucy' photographs.

It quite clearly states in it's rules that being a family friendly site, nude photographs are not allowed on Facebook.

There are plenty of adult only sites who I would guess would welcome this young lady's nude pictures.

If it says nude photographs are not allowed it doesn't matter if they were taken by David Bailey or Ben Dover.;)

Re: facebook bans saucy pics

I think nude pics whether done tastefully or are meant to be raunchy can look good.. arty

But to some... they will always just be.. PORN

Think there would be too much of a fine line of what to allow and what not to allow

I cant see the realy problem if their "bits" are covered. an arm or whatever can often cover more than a bra or bikini

We don't know what her 'nude' photographs showed.

If you decide to join something, you have to accept their rules, or face the consequences...just like on this forum.:D

As I said there are plenty of adult social networking sites where her nude photographs, tasteful or not, would be welcomed.;)

That is true, although I have no issues with things like that, I know that others will and if its against the rules then its against the rules. Have seen many pics on there that I think are inapropriate, but its just a case of whether someone reports them or not.

If you had a younger thirteen year old sister, would you be happy for her to have access to photographs a similarly nude man?

I'm certainly no prude, but understand rules have to be followed.

There are even rules about what is acceptable to be posted on adult only sites.;)

I do and technically they didnt break the rules.. you absoloutly 100% could not see anything more than you would see with a small bikini thingy.. there where no parts showing...

however stood stark naked in a star position and stars photoshopped over the good (eeerm i mean naughty) got her in hot water..

the fact that they have let her start again would show they might have been a bit quick on the buzzer...

But if the rules state no nude photographs, but then allows some, where do they draw the line? Artily taken open crotch shots, and tastefully draped erections?

As said earlier some do slip through the net, if no one reports them.

I saw one recently, since removed, where someone had their winky in someone else's pint, taken in the Black Dog. Funny, but technically against Facebook's rules.

You can still get Beeno .... what about Dandy ... is Desperate Dan still around ....

But you got to admit that the girl is probably the best of the bunch.

Does anyone consider that we are all, at some level and to some degree, attracted by the prurient? That all of us, some secretly, some openly feel the titillation (word of the day) of peeking at what society in general claims is "naughty." We seem to be heading towards a more global society open to the net and to novel ways of interacting; and what a sick, twisted society it could become .... permissiveness battling puritanism, with most of the puritans paying mere lip-service to their beliefs ... fun stuff! (The new puritans are a lot like the old ones who objected to bear-baiting, not because of the pain it gave to the bear, but because of the pleasure it gave to the spectators). The world has changed .... the old rule book has become ineffectual, perhaps irrelevant ... we need new guidelines to address the new realities. Or maybe a little Anarchy (not chaos) would be in order ... (an accidental pun).

Now, more importantly, I wonder if I can get a subscription to Beano, and have it mailed to the colonies:confused::D

Sorry for the wander.

We usually elect people with brains .... Being a second rate actor might qualify someone for the office of President of the United States (didn't RR once play a supporting role in a movie starring a chimp), but he will never make it in Canada .... and we have a Prime Minister, not a president .... our Head of State is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, we say "zed" not "zee." We measure distance in kms not miles .... we measure our temps in celsius (usually with "-" before the number), Canadian football has 3 downs, not four, we drink good, strong, beer, we have two official languages etc. etc. etc.

Talking of Presidents and Prime Ministers ... PRESIDENT Obama is in Ottawa today, holding talks with PRIME MINISTER Harper.;):D

I'm quite aware what's out there, probably more so than you.;)

The Facebook rules state no nude photograps, no matter how artfully taken, and people that ignore that rule haven't really got a leg to stand on when they are dealt with accordingly.

You seem to underestimate a teenage geek's abilitiy to find messed up porn :D However my point is that the the pictures shown by toni on her facebook did not actually show anything as in breasts and vagina and that the shock over a picture that only shows stomach legs and face is kind of weird when you look at all the topless pictures in the tabloids...

Unlike the woody allen tale about his time working backstage as a dresser with a burlesque show... helping the girls get naked and dressed again..

Suitably impressed, someone asks "How much?"

"Thirty dollars a week ..."

"Thirty dollars a week, that's not a lot

It all comes down to what Facebook thinks is acceptable. They think it was not suitable for their site so they took them down.

She must have known what was and wasn't acceptable before she posted her photos, and she got the result she wanted from it - loads of publicity, as she has said she's not bothered whether the publicity was good or bad - she's just happy to have got it for free - says it all really! Unfortunately, Stanley have been drawn into the same publicity and like Margaret I cannot understand why the club needs such an association.

Re: facebook bans saucy pics

WOW... nice to see that people have so many different views on me however you all have obviously heard rumours and listened to what has been said.

Anyway here it is right form the horses mouth...

No-one on facebook could look at anything on my profile including pictures as my profile was private & could only be viewed by my friends, any they are all over the age of 18 thats for sure, actually my little sisters 14 and she has access to it but she is fully aware of what i do and fully supports me like the rest of my family.

Now my pictures were not VIOLATING the terms & conditions of facebook and unfortunately the thnig that got me deactivated is someone reported me a "so called friend" saying that they where so they have to act upon any complaint immediately, not the observer run the story without me being made aware but the telegraph i agreed too. They then went on to sell them to the national papers and yes i did provide the pictures too them but i didnt sell the story... Did i really ask for all this publicity? nope i didnt, but im surely not whinging about it.

I understand tha everyone is entitled to there own opinion and i fully appreciate you all doing so, i also dont mind the critisism as this is based on everyones own opinion and it is what is expected with the career i want to persue.

Just thought i would get my point acroos to you all who obviously dont know the real story

Toni

there is a difference between nudity and pornography, i havent seen the pictures on her facebook but i have seen her profile pic as we have facebook friends in common, as the mum of a 7 year old boy that doesnt bother me that much, its just a body! its not dirty or wrong..

I have no issue with glamour photography, and most of my female don't either. Most women these days accept that people are free to chose what they want to do, and feel that if anyone is being exploited it's the men that buy the magazines, calendars etc.:D

I'm glad you're doing well.

I remember your dad proudly showing me some photographs your cousin had taken, who also had a successful career in the glamour business, so I'm not suprised you're also getting your family's full support.

Good luck.
