I know this much their family trees will grow, theres nowt like the smell of money to bring all the so called
friends and family out of the woodwork.

Best thing to do is get some cards printed with the address of the nearest local Ministry of labour on them, hand them out, and stand back for the diatribe.

Retlaw.

I'd like to win enough money on the lottery to pay my debt off and treat myself, but I'd hate to win enough to make people act differently around me.

If they were only liking me for money then no, because that would just defeat the point.

Blazey if you won a lot of money you'd be surprised how many long lost friends and relations would come out of the woodwork:rolleyes:

That's good for them, though it still won't convince me that buying a lottery ticket is a good way to spend my money.

We have no real say where are taxes are spent, but I have the right to choose not to fund some of the 'good causes', some of which I don't think are all that good or worthy, that the Lotto funds, in the vain hope I might be one of the few people who win a significant amount of dosh.:)

good luck to them......I hope they enjoy their winnings, but like Garinda, I don't do the lottery. For similar reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised because all my 'long lost friends' have recently been found since the creation of facebook and I don't have any others. I am in touch with everyone still from primary and high school but I know who the good friends are, so anyone else claiming to be one wouldn't have much to stand on.

I wouldn't even know what to spend money on. I'd like my own house, but not a big one, with a nice little garden so I could plant my strawberries properly. I see owning my own house as my goal really. And a career but money can't by that. So just a house.

Boring I guess :p

You think you've found all your long lost friends on Face Book do you blazey, if you won the lottery, you'd be the most popular person in Ossy Accy and Lancaster, every body would purport to be your mate. That's the only problem I'd have winning a big sum on the lottery, people knocking on your door, in fact only last weekend I was talking to the other half and she mentioned begging letters and what would I do about them, so after giving it a lot of thought I just said I'd keep sending um :D:p

Well they aren't long lost friends are they? I spend the majority of my time sat in my room listening to music and writing essays. I'd still have to do that if I won millions on the lottery. I doubt many people would even notice I'd won any money.

And my doorbell could be rang but I only answer once my phone has been rang so I know who it is, because my best friends just come to the window.

I'm very picky with my company, so I doubt I'd give these 'friends' the time of day just because I happened to win money...

In a few years time blazey you may just understand exactly what I was trying to say, I may not have been to Uni, but I have served my time in the University of life, your only young yet, there's an old saying you live and learn and its very true. I'm not trying to be nasty, but just trying to point out what you'll meet on life's long slog, on the journey you meet lots of people, some very good but unfortunately some just as bad, so beware:rolleyes:
