Blast from the past

Driving home last night I passed a van with

"Womble Inn - Barbequed Chicken"

written on it.

Strange how just seeing that brought back memories of the smell as you walked past the shop in accy so many years ago.

Funny, i never bought chicken from that shop. I always went in and got a sausage and bacon butty.

me and my mate used to always go in that shop and buy a chicken 1/4 and a buttered T cake... we used to eat it on way home on bus ...... mmmmmm lovely memories

Used the place many times, also the one up little Blackburn Road. Must be one of the worlds greatest aroma's that of fresh Barbecue Chicken!!!

Think there was a food poisoning scare there though before it closed for good if memory serves me right!

That's my memory too
It may have smelt good as you ate it but it came out rapid smelling vile
