O dear not good, why do they insist on getting bigger and bigger?

Same thing happened to that firm owned by the guy who owns Newcastle, was it All Sports or something. I know they used to do the merchandising for Rovers stores, but they've gone back to doing their own again

Not a good thing at all this bit of news. It seems that the sports wear we used to buy is now a luxury we can do without.

Perhaps if England won/qualified for something sales might pick up

perhaps if sports brands didnt charge 10x as much as an equivelent shirt of the same quality simply because their logo is on it people would be preppared to buy the clothing

with all the cheaper alternatives which are still good quality available people especially these days are reluctant to fork out an extra £40 on a t-shirt just because it has a nike logo or whatever on it

seen as they only pay about £2 per week wages to get these items made anyway they could easily reduce prices enough to compete wit cheaper brands

my lad wanted a pair of nike trainers until i pointed out to him that for the same money he could have a cheaper pair and a game for his xbox 360:)

Good - there will be fewer folk about wearing sports clothing as streetwear
I never understood why anyone would want to walk about with a big number on their back
"is that your age or your shoe size?"

Not a very nice attitude. So your glad that hundreds, possibly thousands of people will be out of work?

There should be rules to stop owners buying stock back from a bankruptcy if it's their company that went bust. As it happens I'm fairly certain Whelan hasn't had JJB shares for a while.

Hardly an innocent company, they were fined millions for price fixing.
