'Therapists are still offering treatments for homosexuality despite there being no evidence that such methods work, research suggests. A significant minority of mental health professionals had agreed to help at least one patient "reduce" their gay or lesbian feelings when asked to do so.'


This was oin todays new's and Im frankly gobsmacked..
Treatment..suggests it needs a cure
No evidence such methods work..suggests it needs fixing
'help ... reduce feelings' cos its a victim or one down position..

Its a joke Susie, having worked extensively in the Night Club industry, I've come across quite a few gay people of both sexes. People don't choose to be gay they are born that way, its as simple as that

Can't believe in this day and age that some idiots think there is a cure through mumbo jumbo consultations .... :rolleyes:

We are all born different, some not quite on the same template as others, and this is what has happened in homosexuality ... so what? not doing anyone any harm ... so leave 'em alone and love 'em for the Human Beings they are.

Well, people believe in crystal healing and all that guffaw, so why not "anti gay" treatments.

I wonder if it will be available in a tablet? :D

Had to laugh at a comment an inmate made on the programme about Holloway last night on the subject of bi-sexuality ... she thought it was just being greedy ... :D

Well, yeh, did forget to add that not all homosexuals are good ... some not very nice as in all Humans. Thought someone might just pick up on this ... :D

I read Little Richard's autobiography and he said homosexuals are made and not born. That was just his opinion, as a gay man, and I can't comment one way or the other because I'm not gay.

I think in today's climate if a person is unhappy with his/her sexuality maybe therapy would be the way forward but most of the gay friends I've had would have told any therapist to go and get ...... you know what.
