setting an example ....

just imagine your kids were involved in a sports day against 4 other schools... one of which had won the sports day for the last 20 years .. now if they won it again would you boo and shout insults at the kids who'd done their best for their school even though your kids had come 2nd ...

talk about a bad example!!!

What a disgrace. I'd have wanted to shake those parents until their teeth rattled. It's becoming more and more prevalent, parents behaving like this, and it makes you wonder what the next generation will turn out like. I shudder at the thought.

Typical southern logic, win at all costs, mind you those parents probable think they've done nothing wrong they're so far up themselves, revolving in their own little self centred worlds :(

OK. Booing was wrong BUT who has read all the report. It’s quite understandable that the other teams where upset as they thought that there had been a fixing of the results due to there being a wrong announcement
QUOTE “He said he had written to parents to explain the announcer had read out the wrong scores at one point, which meant parents thought West Park was just three points behind Thomas A Becket before the last event, the relays. In fact, the school was 20 points behind but when it won four out of the six final races the crowd thought Thomas A Becket's reign was over.”
I’m sure the parents where actually booing the judges not the children.
Just typical that journalist sensationalizes the story.

Sorry but even if the parents were booing the judges .. why do it just after the announcement .. in front of the kids ... why not accept that the other school had won. I wonder if the parents who's kids had lost if their kids were at the school that won what they would have said about the parents who had started booing .. The kids cant make a judgement that the parents were booing a judge who was probably sat in a car away from the parents as far as they were concerned they were booing them not a judge.

nah thats so that fat lazy kids dont feel bad for loosing and make it pointless for those kids that make an effort winning.

school sports days are turning into the special olympics where EVERYONE is a winner

you want to see parents behave badly infront of kids go watch a kids ice hockey match, iv seen parents go onto the ice to smack the referee for daring to call a foul on their kid
