is this true?

that sisters spread happiness and brothers breed distress? :D

BBC NEWS | Health | Sisters 'make people happy'

Will admit this it does work both ways ... but when its your brothers turn to do the washing up and he jumps out the bedroom window rather than wash up .. it is kind of distressing ... cos you have to do it ....

So is it true .. girls spread happiness and boys breed distress...

Oh dear the silly little moaning toilet seat pile of doo dah!

Look all you women claim to be superior and yet how many of you would rather nag your partner rather than realise it's just as easy for you to put the seat down as it is for us to lift it up, (in fact it's easier you haven't got to fight gravity putting it down it works with you!).

I keep hearing groans about going to the toilet at night and falling in because the seat is up, put the light on and LOOK!

The next person that comes to my house and complains about the seats position will find it removed and locked away in the landing cupboard only to be brought out on Sundays and Bank Holidays, that will give you something real to complain about!

Until then 'Bog Off!'.

Life could have some real problems.

Re: is this true?

I don't need to put the light on and If the seat is up then I put it down...no big deal.
Life is too short to worry about such trivialities.

As for the Sisters bit.......I was 16 when my sister was born....and she was only three years old when I left home to be married, so we didn't grow up together, but despite this we are very close(well, unless you realise that in distance we aren't...she lives in Brisbane)...we like the same things, we have similar views on life.....she is a nurse too........and people who didn't know we were sisters used to say how very similar our patterns of working were.
Yes, my sister is a pleasure to be with(though I can't be with her much these days)......now some of my brothers(there are five of them) are right miserable gits...and that is the pleasantest thing I can say about them.

Well done Margaret, that's like a breath of fresh air in the toilet department for me. Have some karma for being one of the few sensible women in the Western World!

:)

Thanks Less. I have lived in my current house for 43 years so I could find my way about in the dark, no problem.......and yes maybe the old fellers aim is sometimes amiss, but then sometimes we have to overlook things as I know that I am not perfect(that, I believe is Pipinforts forte):)
I'm pleased that you think I am sensible too...I like to think I am, but there are those who would dispute that with you :)

I have a toilet seat which wont stay up unless you hold it up, because the whole shebang slopes backwards. :(
These minor irritations are all part of being a Hyndburn Homes resident:rolleyes:

Re: is this true?

I used to fight like mad with both of my sisters but always seem to have got on with my brother.

And as for the toilet seat, its either left up or theres a kiddies toilet seat on there so have to do something when I go to the loo, be it put the seat down or lift off the child seat, its no issue to me really, not something i bother about. Its wiping the pee off the seat that can be irritating but guess thats a joy of toilet training :D

Re: is this true?

The toilet seat thing has always puzzled me too.

I can't understand why some make such a fuss...........up, down, what's it matter?

If you want it down just put it down, it's hardly a cross country run is it?

As for the brothers/sisters thing I haven't got any experience as I am an only child.
