Stee, maybe you should splash out a bit and get your self a more modern one.
You could always use-setting #10 to heat up your kitchen if your central heating packs up in the morning.

From the plug on it, that's one of them there goddamn yankee machines, and as they're always telling us, everything is always bigger and better the other side of the pond. It looks like you could grill burgers on it. :p

If you read the instruction book on page 304, that's where the english instructions normally appear after all the other languages in the world, you will discover that paper burns at a higher temperature than bread. Setting 10 is the junk mail setting, I use it all the time. Now all my junk mail is toast.

Ever read the growing manual that comes with your device and wondered about the instructions that say...

Do not immerse in water.
Do not insert metal objects whilst plug still in.

Yes, you guessed it, someone has done exactly that and if they survived, made a lot of money from the manufacturer.

I bet even KSH's device (see attachment  ) has a manual that reads something like this...

Warning handle may become hot
Warning other end will become extremely hot, remove toast from fork before eating
Printed instructions on handle : Insert bread at other end
This is not an electrical device do not plug into mains supply
Do not use hands when inserting bread on fork
This is not a javelin and is not suitable for athletic events
Do not use outside in thunderstorms
This is not a screwdriver
Do not drive whilst using device
