So now we read that LCC are to withdraw the hardcopy reference facilities in Accy and a number of other sites - presumably Ossy's reference section is now the baby changing facility. Is this because every line of every document and book currently available has now been digitally copied? Somehow I doubt it. Just what the hell is going on here?

In retrospect, I suppose the writing was on the wall when Church Library closed to become a battered women's hostel. Ossy will no doubt end up a creche and Accy Library will probably end up an Islamic cultural centre.

Church Library was closed to stop all the fighting over Viz, the only thing ever read in it. :p

I think Ossy Library will be turned into another gypsy park

You, Gayle and Garinda could pretend to be Gypsies. Just stick some tea towels round your heads, get some upturned goldfish bowls and then read people's fortunes in there. It's the sort of thing Gayle is good at organising. You will have the local fruitcakes queuing all the way down Union road.

So, how does that work, then? Do you just bring it along and say "I don't like this one, it's too ugly and it keeps throwing up" and they change it for another one? Do they date stamp it and fine you if you bring it back late?

It's lovely, isn't it? :)

I went in yesterday, you'd never believe it was the same place. My 8 year old son said it looked like an NHS building LOL. :D

It is very bright, clean and modern now.
