Colin Hendry's wife, Denise, has died 7 years after a botched liposuction operation. :(

I think this is so sad. There she was, a footballer's wife, money not an issue, recently given birth to her 4th child.

She wanted to regain her figure and look her best in a bikini so she booked in for what she thought was a straightforward procedure, one that no doubt several of her friends had undergone and look what happens. :(

She nearly died at the time and has had nothing but complications and operations to try to repair the damage since.

Today she passed away, aged just 42, leaving her husband and 4 children aged 9-19.

My sympathies go out to her family, what a sad story.:(

very sad never met her, but Colin was a top guy had one or two in his company back in the day. R.I.P.

Times like this mean rivalry is unimportant. She suffered for a lot of years. Hope Colin and his kids get through okay.

Gustaf Aniansson, who carried out the original surgery, voluntarily took himself off the register after he made a mess of Denise Hendry so he can no longer practise in this country.

However he is still able to practise abroad. :eek::mad:

I dont think there is need to remind us of the vanity thing. this lady has died as a result of incompetant medical surgery.
God rest Denise and to Colin and his family my sincere condolancies.
There but for the grace of god go all of us under the scalpal.

Royboy, Denise initially chose to have surgery.......I think it is a bit different than having surgery for medical reasons......that surgery went tragically wrong......the last surgery she had was to try and rectify the damage done by the cosmetic surgery....so that was for medical reasons.......it doesn't do any good at all to pontificate on the 'what ifs' in life....her family will miss her.......it is a life cut short.

Margaret........the Lady has passed away....no matter what the cause.
Why do we try to justify Colin and his Families loss to specifics?

I know that Royboy........This thread is about her, and so the reasons for her demise are bound to be talked about...in much the same way as it was with Michael Jackson, though to a much lesser degree.
It doesn't detract from the sympathy that people feel for the Hendry Family.

R.I.P Denise, i met Colin Hendry several times when he played for City, what a nice fella he is, my heart goes out to his family
