if you have paypal then you must have a bank account so could you not get a debit card on that one?

credit cards are like a loan that you pay back and debit cards can only use money you have in your account btw

Paypal do their own "debit / top-up card", my mum has one. You can credit it with funds from your paypal account and use the card wherever you can use a visa card. You have to transfer the money onto the card and it takes 24hrs to go on (i think its about that anyway) But you cant spend more than you have credited onto the card

If you go onto the paypal site theyre are banners advertising it

You can have a paypal account using a credit card to make payments. It is probably safer if your card gives you online fraud protection.

paypal have their own debit card, you pay a few quid for the card butcan use it in shops , cash withdrawels from macines have a charge though

dont know the exact details so look at paypal for more info but i know people with them and will be getting one myself when i get enough money in my paypal account to justify having one

also there is this option but you will have to check if youcan transfer paypal to it

I have a paypal account, but don't use it that often, in fact I've only used it twice, I'd sooner use my ordinary credit card or debit card myself

Re: prepaid credit/debit card

to be honest paypal is one huge money making scam

for a short while they allow you to run an account quite happily with a small charge for transfering money to your bank account then all of a sudden whallop they start sending emails saying you have to upgrade to a premium account or buisness acount which has no other real benefits except that not only do you have to pay a fee to send money to your bank account you have to pay a fee to have money paid in

if i am correct ebay now own paypal so they get money off you for listing your item , they get commission off your sale and then have the audacity to charge you further money for people to send you their payment

seen as teh majority of ebay customers use paypal its not a simple case of only accepting postal orders as this would deter peopel from bidding as they are used to using paypal

while im on teh subject of ebay lol i tried selling an item on there the other day and was told that due to customer feedback they wouldnt allow postage and packaging charges on certain items liek pc games or some pc componements , i emailed ebay and asked why this was and pointed out that until royal mail started delivering for free and provided free jiffybags and celotape etc i would be charging regardless of ebays policy.Their reply was that customer feedback suggested that they thought postage shoudl be free

well duh if you ask people if they would like to pay or have somthing free of course they are going to say free

kind of ironic that a company that made its foothold on teh internet selling illigal items, pirated games and software suddenly has a moral concience , you wouldnt believe the stuff they used to allow to be sold on ebay as long as they got their comission lol

used panties for the perverts
pirate adult dvds
pirate software
flick knives
cs spray
various illigal weapons
drugs

infact you can still buy opiates on ebay in the form of dried poppies under floral decorations or similar catagory and any self respecting junkie sure knows how to make them into a fix pretty easily but ebay turn a blind eye because the comission is a lot of money

1kg dried poppy heads/pods & seeds somniferum papaver on eBay (end time 06-Aug-09 22:50:44 BST)

lol sory for the thread wander :D

Quidity, just google it, I have one as I won't have a credit card, it's effectively a Maestro card that you top up, you obviously pay a percentage towards handling but can be topped up at Spar on Burnley Rd and no doubt elsewhere, I have used it for over 3 years with no problems, can do tesco shop online and anything like Amazon, Play.com.
