Local jam and chutney maker wins award
Ossy company Reedy’s Naturally have just won their first major award. They’ve been given Gold at the prestigious Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards 2009 for their Beetroot Chutney with Orange made using Lancashire grown beetroots and red onions.
These are a couple of friends of mine and they're producing some amazing stuff. It's a real 'home grown' business and I'm very happy for them. It's great to be able to support such a 'local' initiative. These awards cover food producers and retailers from the whole of the UK so it’s something of an accolade for them. If you want to know more about the awards, click on the following link Great Taste Awards 2009. More info about this latter activity can be found on their website, www.reedys.co.uk. |

That's great news! I mentioned them on here a while back when someone was after some jam, think it was strawberry and mint (??) . They make some fantastic stuff and are a lovely couple of people as well! Congrats to Lisa and John!:mosher:
