Wish they'd make their minds up!!!

First they say organic food is better for you ... so everyone pays more ...

BBC NEWS | Health | Organic produce 'better for you'

that was in 2007 ... now theyre saying that organic is no healthier than normal food ...

BBC NEWS | Health | 'Organic has no health benefits'

will they make their minds up ... mind you they will have to do more research wont they?:D:D:D

If you read to the end you will read this
they report in their analysis that there are higher levels of beneficial nutrients in organic compared to non-organic foods.

So the whole BBC report is journalistic hogwash which contradicts itself

I don't know why anyone believes anything the BBC reports.
or even bothers to watch it in the first place

Organic food is, in my opinion just a con to get more money out of us.

Indeed. Organic load of bollocks. If they can make vegetables the size of houses that live off sand and produce water then bloody brilliant it'll save millions of lives. GM all the way.

think the odd/mis-shapened ,dirt clinging stuff you buy from 'farmers markets' has a bit more flavour than the plastic wrapped stuff from the supermarket , considering most of the 'farmers' at my local market come in from the central valley (Agri business Chemical central) and are either Hmong or Vietnanese I wonder about the signs of 'organic' and pesticide free' ....but the stuff , even the boiled peanuts do have more taste

All food was organic in 'their day' so it didn't need a special label.
Pesticides herbicides and animal antibiotics were not in use.
and so were not passed on to humans:rolleyes:

I had no intention of joining this thread:rolleyes: but here goes-

Soil is depleted of minerals by intensive farming which involves -
artificial fertilisers,
herbicides to prevent moulds,
insecticides to increase yield.

Crops are less nutritous as a result, and the food contains those chemicals.

Animals are pumped regularly with antibiotics to avoid vet's bills, and the residues remain in their flesh.

That food loses even more value as it is transported long distances and stored before sale.

If you think your body can cope with the toxic build up, go ahead and eat it.
Mine can't, and in fact the 'organic' food' isn't as nutritous enough for me, so I use supplements too.

...............end of my input on this thread - you pays your money and makes your choice -
I prefer toxic free tasty over mass produced tasteless.
