Poorly car
 
Am on shanksy's pony.........have been carless since Wednesday, car decided to give up the ghost on Hyndburn Road just outside the entrance to Asda ( at 5 pm ) how much fun was that? :(
Anyway was told it's ignition coil and got towed home, am now waiting patiently for mechanic to come and fix it......am not at all happy........walking mac is as much exercise as I want (or need).:(

I had the same poblem in June................Cost £50 Fitted....20 Mins.

Sounds ok to me Roy........just phoned the garage and mick said he will be up and do it today phewwwwwwwwwwwww. :D

Modern cars tend to have seperate coils for each cylinder so it would be rare to conk out completely. Usually it starts running on 3 instead of 4 cylinders ( assuming a 4 cyl car )

Its goods practice to change the spark plugs when you install a new coil.

It's a 95 golf and the recovery bloke told me, and Mick agreed when he came out to sort it. Happy now, she's all better :D
