Biting my tongue.....
There are times when I have to bite my tongue when I'm talking to Madz and Zack! Things like 'do you think I'm made of money' and 'wait till your father gets home'! There are times when they're just about to trip off my tongue but I stop myself.
Although, having said that I have used the 'wait till your father gets home' one, but only when I've been fed up of the 60millionth question of the day and so tell them to ask their Dad. I haven't used it in the 'you're in trouble now' context. |
Re: Biting my tongue.....
What has their father done to deserve the sea of questions you've got building up for his return from work? :P

Re: Biting my tongue.....
Gayle, I am sure that this post will ring bells with many parents out there....grandparents too. Curiousity....hmmm, it might have killed the cat and infuriated your mother, but it is what children do and it is, to a degree, how they learn about life and their place in the world.
Be thankful that you have children who are lively and intelligent, and not glued to the front of a game console. The school holidays don't last forever, it just feels like they do! :D |
