Don't you just hate when this happens
 

When I get up in a morning I can usually tell what kind of day I'm going o have health wise, this morning wasn't looking good first light. I went in the shower, took ages, then had breaky, then came on here. Around 12 started getting ready for the match on Sky, hopping Rangers played better than last week:rolleyes: Made my lunch, totally knackered, sat down watching the match build up, when a knock, knock came at the door, who the hell is that, so schlepping down the hallway and breathing like a rusty Perkins diesel, I opened door:dflam:Jehovah's Witnesses, Well I instructed the gentleman to mark down on his list not to call here again then instructed him to walk away in wet footsteps. Don't you just hate it when that happens. I do not have a problems with peoples religions, so long as they don't try and ram it down my throat on my own doorstep

The JWs who visit my home are two nice little old ladies .... they leave the Watchtower and some other mag. I find that these serve very well when I run out of coasters for my beer. Politicians bug me more. Was playing Company of Heroes the other day ... just got to the point where I could call in an air strike against a particularly pesky Tiger tank when the phone rang .... it was Stephen Harper (that's the Canadian Prime Minister) asking if I thought he and Brian Abrams, the local tory candidate were "on the right track." I said "yes" and suggested that they stay on that track because there would be a train along any moment. At least the JWs don't walk around with belts made out of plastic explosive.:s_boom: You never know, maybe:end:

One once came to my door early on a saturdey morning when i was still a bit tipsy and chatty from the friday night before.
could he get away?,could he hell :)
he eventually made an excuse and jogged off

haven't been near our door fer about 5 years or more, can't think why:D, spignific old son yer tale reminds me of father rimmer, who once got a bollocking off n old dear cos he was 2 hrs talking to em outside St Josephs, he told me whilst i was rabbiting to em, they were converting nobody.:D;)

Something I had never seen before , last month I had two respectably dressed young Ladies knock on the door , thought they were JWs but no, they were Mormons doing the '2 year mission' (18 months in their case cause they are female) , was a total surprise since it was the first I had heard of female Mormons going on the mission , usually in the past its allways been the young guys on bicycles.
Seems its a new introduction (about 2 years old) , not sure if they have gone overseas yet (out side the US)
Just a surprise since I had allways thought it was a "taliban" keep women down type organization .

For once I think you might be right dave, I'd been better off watching Animal Planet:D but seriously if anybody tells me Rangers would do well in our Premier League, their having a laugh, watched them two weeks running and they were crap:rolleyes:

I once had to pay a call on a Jehova's Witness who was in business and had not paid his income tax. His wife and daughter were in when I got there; he had just got home after a morning out door-knocking.

His daughter was in her mid 20s and was one of the most foul-mouthed women I have ever met. She wasn't being nasty to me, it was just the way she spoke, every other word was "effin". The dad, who was the JW, didn't turn a hair at her language - the situation was quite bizzare. :rolleyes:

That might well be NM, but I object to have religion pushed own my throat on my doorstep, I am a practising RC and as far as I'm concerned religion is a personal thing and should be kept in church not on the doorstep
