Butter is bad for you, now margarine is bad for you - perhaps we should go back to putting dripping on our bread?

Does this mean they have done a survey of journalists?

on average more margarine users report for the mail whilst the Daily Telegraph draws it's staff from the more intellectually stimulated Butter eaters?

Hasn't it got something to do with the little darlings being thick???????????

I would be more inclined to believe that it was something to do with a lack of educational stimulation, the lack of books in the home.... a reliance on TV to keep children's minds occupied rather than other forms of imaginative entertainment.

"At the age of three-and-a-half, they scored three points lower on intelligence tests than other youngsters." LOL iq testing 3-4 year olds. Not liking butter or margarine much myself, only on toast mainly, i feel sorry for the kid that had to eat **** loads of margarine to come to this stupid conclusion.
What next. Eating apples when you are 3-4 year will make you impotent in the future...

what they havnt mentioned is they spotted the thick kids because they were the ones spreading the margarine with a fork

I wonder what this means in terms of my generation then? I was born during WW2 and lived with rationing until I was 11. We ate margarine far more often than butter so are we all less intelligent? Does this mean that, but for a lb of butter, I could have been a genius? :D

This kind of research means absolutely nothing....and we are told nothing of the the context in which it was done, or for that matter who funded the research, and we are not told of the size of the study....this kind of stuff just gets parents more paranoid about what is and isn't healthy for their children.
Again a case of media scaremongering.

Quite agree Margaret, its like statistics, you can do anything you want with them, its like an organisation say their membership as increased by 100% over the last 12 months, they had 3 members now they have 6:D
