Has any one heard of this before
 

Last night I was channel hoping on Sky, as you do, when I came across a discussion about the 27 Club. It seems there are a group of rock and pop artists who have died at the age of 27 there are around 40 of them, stars such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Kurt Cobain are on the list, seems very weird to me, think I'll do a it of web surfing to find out more, its intriguing me. All those listed had had troubled lives with alcohol or drugs, and it did point out that both Amy Winehouse and Brittany Spears are coming up for their 27th birthdays:rolleyes:

Not dwelling on Death Margaret, its just that Ive never heard of this before and it intrigues me that's all, seems strange to say the least

There was a one hour programme on Smooth radio last week about this that I listened to. Very intriguing that they all died at 27.

Yes Alcohol and drug abuse were contibutary towards their deaths.

i remember when "Joplin" croaked, about 6 or so american dick-heads topped themselves to be with her.:rolleyes: i actually loved her music, but passed on that one.:D

they sign a contract with the devil to become famous and it ends at age 27 :D


kurt kobains contract was up until age 40 but he did the decent thing in the end :eek:

Its coincidence, justs seems theres more to it because they are all people in the public eye, how many people die aged 27 in the world every day, a fair few id bet, but because they're not celebs no-one writes about them, just the media cashing in on something to me.

the people in the 27 Forever club also had excessive lifestyles too.....with drugs and alcohol........not conducive to longevity.

You may notice that in my original post on this subject I did mention that Amy Winehouse was approaching her 27th birthday

It's bad enough that Kurt Cobain is frequently mentioned in the same sentence as Hendrix...now we have Amy Winehouse as well.
