Reviews of the year

I hate this time of year - my newspaper and all its supplements are full of reviews of the year!!! Made worse this year because it's the end of the decade so there are reviews of the last ten years.

I want to look forward, to look at new things - I also want to read NEWS, not yesterday's news. Stop telling me what happened in January or who the ten most iconic people of the last decade were.

Ok, rant over.:D

Stop reading the Guardian then, you know you enjoyed the News of The World :D

Also don't forget they like to add lots of 'old news' at this time of year probably written days or even weeks before the publish date. It helps everyone in the industry have a little time of at Christmas.

It's their own fault. Not many years ago, newspapers used to stop for a few days over Christmas, now they continue to print each day.

This is the one that tipped the cart - where's my normal G2? It's been hijacked by a review of David Beckham, Tony Blair and Brittany Spears and the story of their decade!!!!!

No, but I bet there'll be one for the day after. So some poor newspaper souls will have to work on Christmas day.

And the only thing worse than reviews of the year, are those blasted quizzes of the year.

Now, presumably, if I'd read the reviews of the year I'd remember more of the answer in the quizzes of the year, but why on earth would I want to do that?
