999 calls

just read this .. why didnt she do like any normal person would .. and just pick the string up if it was annoying her so much!!!!

Odd Section - News - Woman dials 999 over annoying cat - Digital Spy

999 calls to me are for something urgent .. not for something like that. Surely she can pick up a piece of string.

I heard the report on the radio, but they actually played the cat/string call on last night's Granada news.

What was most shocking was that she didn't sound drunk.

They should use the string to tie her hands behing her back, thus preventing her putting anymore lives in danger, by clogging up the lines of the emergency services.

Maybe, but she was making sense, at least in what she said, though not why she thought she should be telephoning them, and wasn't slurring.

To think it was a good idea to call 999 about her cat playing with string, I'd have thought she'd have to be so drunk she could hardly speak at all.

I'd sign up.
