Bob Ainsworth

It appears that Defence Minister Bob Ainsworth, dropped a real gooly on a politics show at lunchtime, he was discussing Labours record and said something like "we'll put our policies forward in the run up to the election then let the people decide on the 6th of June" looks like its D Day then for the big one:D

He definatley said 6th May, I saw the interview. Election has to be held before 3rd June anyway.

I wish I could take a months holiday abroad from the beginning of April, it's bad enough listening to the lies during the other 4 or 5 years but a months constant bull**** is rammed down our throats is going to be unbearable :(

The 6th May this year is the day of the Local Elections. To combine the Local Elections with the General Election would seem the sensible option. It certainly saves money to have them both on the same day.

He did say 6 May and could not be 6 June as Lancsdave pointed out. Besides as Bernard points out better for local and national to be on same day

Don't bother me when the election is but give Gordon's track record he may just have wanted to hold onto power for a few extra days, before he's slung out on his ear:D
