It really annoys me when I receive an e-mail about a thread I posted in that new posts have been made. I click the e-mail link and read the posts and try to reply only to find the thread has been closed before my point has been made, Kipax and Roy it was closed to early but of course you where only bowing to the politically correct brigade and stopping freedom of speech, why don't we get back to posting about old clocks again.

Lets get this right eh... Ceejache asks for it to be closed.. well suggests it be end of thread... Roy closes it..

But I get listed as to blame for it being closed?

I do believe some kid in australia just bumped into a wall and hurt his knee.... dont forget to blame me for that as well eh.

Bagpuss Roy is the forum admin and owns this site, if he closed a thread it was because he thought the subject had been taken to its limit. The thread is full of endlesss repeated arguments, and the questions asked had been answered...

Can't you just drop it??????

And i might add that ROY closed the thread not Kipax.

I have to admit - I did suggest that the topic be closed as I thought that we had discussed all that had to be discussed within the limits of an open forum and also felt that the thread was going to descend into accusation-counter accusation which does no-one any favours (is my spelling at fault there?).

I think everyone agrees it had run its course.. well almost everyone it seems.

I would be suprised if this thread even exists tommorow.

There are other interesting implications and follow-ons that can be discussed y'know. Nothing is ever 'black and white' to coin a phrase y'know!

I agree...I am not apposed to threads going off topic and straying to sub subjects or onto a completely different angle.. if thats the way the conversation goes then thats OK IMHO .. but others think you ahve to stay on subject all the time...

I doubt a subject closed will be allowed to reopen just because someone puts a 2 next to it though... kinda defeats the whole object of closing a thread.
