Observer Sold

The Accrington Observer will soon have new owners, Trinity Mirror Group. According to their spokesperson, "the acquisition "reinforced" its commitment to regional journalism."

Does this mean it will become more local ? :rolleyes:

Guardian Media Group sells regional business to Trinity Mirror | Media | guardian.co.uk

wonder if they knew this was going to happen and thats why they shut the offices and relocated everyone to manchester ...

Just a little aside .. my copy this week did not contain the Property pull-out. Definitely not there when I bought it from Asda ... Thursday. Was it there in the ones sold Friday ?

It is a pull up but is printed as part of the paper and not added afterwards. So it is just pages of the paper. More likely it was taken out in the shop by someone.

It does seem to be on an `every other week `basis:rolleyes: which if you are house hunting does get a bit annoying.... thats all we usually buy it for these days but always check first.
