Violent Storms in Tenerife

We've had rain for days which is well unusual but it's worked itself up to a real corker tonight.

Cars have been carried down onto the beach by the rain, no tv signal and all the roads are like rivers. I seem to be clinging on to my internet connection but that will go soon as well as the leccy.

A lovely place to live most of the time but when it rains it's a little like England in the snow...........everything goes to pot!!

So will you be claiming the £25 bad weather payment?

All British pensioners - including many thousands living in the likes of Spain, Portugal and Greece - received £250pds winter fuel allowance (£400 if over 80). Depending on postcode,an additional £25pds pw was paid for bad weather. So will you now get yours?

Hope you are safe and well. We have had some very bad rain, and a bit of snow on the mountains, at the back of me, the "dry" river bed was a large stream, the back road was washed out. But otherwise we have had nothing like you. Hope it wears itself out soon.
