Re: Gas and Electric

I have looked at the site.
I wanted to see a tariff so that I can compare that supplier with mine, but no tariff is shown anywhere.

The section for our completion asking about usage, asks for current supply costs in £s.
In order to make an accurate comparison you need to use KWH used, not £s spent, as a base and compare tariffs.

I am skeptical whether this company will do what it says it will.
The cost of supply to them will depend on how big their customer base is.
More customers give them a better deal from gas and electricity producers, and a better chance of being cheaper than the mainstream.

It's a nice idea but, as Margaret pointed out, it relies very heavily on a decent customer base. Anything such as this which finds its way into my inbox is usually relegated to the junk folder and I'm wary of businesses that have to send out spam as a way of advertising.

From experience, anything that appears too good to be true usually is.

Ken, you took the words right out of my mouth.......I know I am a cynical old thing, but when i looked at the website I asked myself 'where's the catch? There has to be one'.
I am glad I'm not alone in my cynical little haven.

It is logical to assume that they do not lie when they say that they do not intend to make a profit.

BUT - if they do not amass enough customers to enable them to negotiate a reduced price from power generating companies, they will not be in a position to pass a reduced price to customers.

SO - they aren't making profit, but you are not paying less

(as if anyone would;))

Does 'none profit making' not usually mean they only cover their administration costs? Therefore, like some charities, the top people will be on thousands and thousands per annum, without actually doing much else than delegating work!
