Can you believe this ..
... and boeing guy might have something to say about this.
There have been audiotapes of a kid directing planes at JFK airport in New York ... turns out kids were on holiday from school and his dad must have took him into work .. and he directed the planes from air traffic control .. telling them it was ok for take off ... BBC News - New York airport jets 'directed by child' |
Re: Can you believe this ..
OH no!, ow many planes crashed because of this kid being left alone to talk to the planes without supervision and noone to take over if he did it wrong?
I reckon this affair is better than any advert for "Become an air traffic controller, it's fun" lol |
Re: Can you believe this ..

Re: Can you believe this ..
Sorry I have not posted yet, been busy. Okay, personally I find it quite funny, however professionally it does send a chill down my spine. The boy was directing traffic at one of the worlds busiest airports. At best this could have led to a Runway Incursion, (a plane or vehicle entering the runway when they are not supposed to) at worst a repeat of the Tenerife airport disaster in 1977. Thank goodness nothing happened, as a aside and no less crazy there was reports this week of a Swedish pilot who had been operating as a First Officer for 13 years with no Licence. The world has gone mad. BBC News - 'Fake pilot' arrested moments before take-off |
