Its summer ..
... whats missing? ah yes the hosepipe ban ...
East Lancs reservoirs alert over hot summer (From Lancashire Telegraph) John Sanders, from United Utilities, said: “It has been the third driest start to the year in more than 70 years. “If this dry weather continues United Utilities has strategies in place to maintain essential supplies to customers. “We are following our normal plans for dry weather conditions, which include making use of our highly integrated supply network to balance supply and demand across the region.” Among the reservoirs currently running low on water are two in Guide in Blackburn, and ones in Barley, Pendle, and in Grane Road, near Haslingden. So all that snow we had in january didnt count, the rain we got to wash it away .. that dont count ..:confused::confused: |
