Re: Hose pipe ban
Apparently if you own an Audi TT then it also does not apply to you.
(from what I have seen today) Also if you can get a disabled person to hold the hose you are OK. |
Re: Hose pipe ban

Re: Hose pipe ban
I still keep a letter from the water board telling me I would be prosecuted if I continued to use my hose pipe when there was a ban in about 1974 (maybe a few years out).
I would probably have got away with a verbal warning from the official who caught me washing my new Triumph GT6 if I hadn't turned the pipe on him. As I was spending 4 or 5 days a week in lodgings around the country and not bathing or showering at home as often nor had any family at home I though it would be OK, obviously not in the eyes of the law. |
Re: Hose pipe ban
reading the telegraph and i know some people go walking along the canal ....
TOXIC algae has contaminated the canal in East Lancashire prompting a major health warning. People are being advised to avoid contact with the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. "If members of the public do come into contact with blue-green algae affected water, they should remove all contaminated clothing and wash all exposed skin with clean water as soon as possible, and particularly before eating or drinking. “If they are in any doubt about their welfare after contact with algae, they should seek medical advice. Farmers and pet owners should ensure that their animals do not have access to affected water.” East Lancs canal hit by algae outbreak (From Lancashire Telegraph) |
