Councillors Son Badly Injured in Afghanistan
 

The Son of councillor Doug Hayes has been seriously injured in Afghanistan, I don't have too many details, but I know he as been in the Army a long time and is an RSM. I only hope the lad makes a speedy recovery and can be reunited with his family.

Tried to contact Doug this afternoon but there was no reply, maybe he's down in Birmingham at the hospital

I spoke to Doug on Sunday and his son's condition is improving. He is expected to make a good recovery with time.
