Two quotes spring to mind-'I don't believe it!' and 'You can't be serious!' But they ARE-I can't find how much this joke at our expence has already cost, they probably daren't tell us.George 4th is hardly a symbol of good kingship but at least you wouldn't stand in front of it and laugh, or be sick. Boris Johnson will make himself a laughing stock( don't say it!) if he doesn't kick all these out.And SACK somebody.

I recall Gayle telling us that she had won a place on the plinth last year but had prior commitments so couldn't go.

I agree with that:eek::D

Also think that the fourth plinth would be a good place to burn Maggie Thatcher.:alright:

Maybe Cuthbert Collingwood deserves a place in Trafalgar Square .... or Midshipman John Pollard who shot the sniper ...:confused:

I've steamed in and voted without seeing the 'None of em' option. Whoops. Seems like another expensive experiment and bewildering to someone like me who knows nothing about art.

The winner will probably end up being one of the more 'artistic' ones, although any newspaper that can resist writing about Nelson's massive blue cock this winter will be demonstrating admirable restraint.

Maybe picking at scab here but has London ever seen a Panopticon , according to the "wiki" site seems these things are limited to North East Lancashire Panopticons - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

seems it's an ideal joint project for the recently elected Hyndburn MP and the local 'art's' Tsarina to push and get some public notice to the folks south of Bolton about how folks in N.E. Lancashire have some kulture , and a great example of how public money/funds should be spent ;) ;)

Maybe we should send the Arndale Clock down to Trafalgar Square.

There are plans to resurrect the arndale clock. And who knows maybe even the panopticon idea might get another airing.
