The Stanley Ultras are currently upset (justifiably) about their flags being banned due to not being fire retardant. I wonder if it was the same H&S officer who banned these old dears' buns from their coffee afternoon?

Maybe the Ultras should send a message of mutual support to this lot. You never know, they may get a busload of geriatrics turning up at the Clayton End, banging drums and screaming for Stanley. Oh, and free tea and home made biccy's at half time.

Even more astounding is that ALL football stadiums should be non smoking, so where does the threat of fire come from??

that i think is a throwback to the bradford tragedy, when the wooden stand caught fire with tragic loss off life, so i can see logic yon, "IF" ya got wooden stands, which ya don't see these days cos as far as i know they are all concrete wi plastic seats in league.:rolleyes: Back in 72 i think it was the H@S at work act brought many benefits to the workforce, but as years went by, like much in life - "The Lunatics Have Taken Oer The Asylum.":rolleyes:
