Hi, anyone heard anything recently about Issac? He's generally seen around the town, with his lovely dog at his side?

If he's the one with the rather plumpish brown dog then he was sat on the benches near Church St this morning

He was sat on a bench at the corner of Eastgate and Avenue Parade at about 6pm with lovely dog at his side.

Nice one, thats ok then. Hadnt seen him around for a few days. I always spend time with him when I see him. Have known him since he was in the Christ Church choir! Yes! he was a choirboy!

Who exactly is he ? Don't wish to appear rude or impolite but I'm not from the area & as quite a few people have commented on him, it has piqued my curiosity. A short Google Page Rankingécis please ?

Dave, a short precis could never do Isaac justice...he is, to use that much overworked phrase, a "local character" and has been for the last 45 years or so. Back in the day, his habitat was the deck (the area in front of the market and town hall) and, as you can see, he's still very much around. A true individualist and a great bloke, everyone who grew up in Accy and district in the 60's, 70's and perhaps beyond has a story to tell about him. Tell you what, mate, next time you're over and we're in the Oak Lea having prematch drinks, Cashy and myself will tell you all about him!

He does wiff a bit though! Lol!....He still frequents the Deck amongst other al fresco establishments!....He used to be a very good painter & decorator...when he was sober enough to turn up that is!

Vito very much around & about too, he has family a few doors away from me! Much quieter these days....arn't we all!:D

Have just heard tonight in town that Issac is not well. Been told he has been taken to hospital in Blackpool

was talking to him last week, outside the Yorkshire Bank, he was using 2 sticks to move, looked not good at all to me.:eek: asked him if he was alreet n he said fine. thats isacc to a tee.

Currently outside the market hall, looks very ill and was loosing his pants because of the weight he has lost.

He was a patient in the Royal Blackburn in early April, he was on the same ward as my husband. Apparently he had been in hospital for several weeks and he told us that he had been knocked over by a car.

My family know him very well... his dad Jack was in the choir with my grandad... hope he is ok.... he used to be an ok drummer back in his days...

Unfortunately i've heard today that Issac has sadly passed away. Certainly one of Accys characters over the years. RIP Jeff!

I find it very sad that there is NO mention of his death in this week's Accrington Observer, and I also find it very sad that no-one seems to know when he is being buried/cremated. Surely someone out there must know?

back in the 70's Christina who was Isaacs girlfriend at the time was sent away to a convent to keep her away from him her parents were very religious and horrified when she ended up pregnant by him she kept going back to him really pretty girl could never understand the attraction, she used to spend days trailing round looking for him kids in tow as he disappeared when he had money amazed he's still going!

Issac is no longer with us! He died a while back, not sure when, cos time passes so quickly. Oh its there, on an earlier post, he died June 2012.
