Just tried to book a car boot for the Sunday Accy flea market only to be told it's at a cost of £11!!

Surely if Accrington wants to boost its markets popularity this could be reduced to a more car boot friendly price! Places such as Gisburn enjoy a much busier friendlier atmosphere, for a fee of beggar all, wouldn’t it be nice for the people of the town to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere of a Sunday where its not just professional traders trying to temp yer pennies.

Gisburn are chargeing £5 a car now. We went and sold most of our rubbish, er I mean rare collectable items, the other week. We were not expecting to pay as it had been free up to then.

It would be a good idea if Accy provided cheaper or free stalls once a week to carbooter/flea marketers. Do they charge the same on a Thursday if it's still a flea market day?

Apparently so - I can’t believe Gisburn are charging! Is there nothing sacred anymore to all us budding David Dickenson’s.

How about a fiver for an Accrington Stall and a bit more enthusiasm from the local press maybe even a push in the telegraph!

There must be quite a few folk busy peeling oranges in their pocket just waiting for an excuse to sell their priceless family air looms / 1980's video classics!

Some joke to pay £11 for a stall to sell old things. No wonder prices of car boot sales goods goes up if they have to cover paying for stalls like a market trader.
