Spar in Market Hall !!

Noooo not the supermarket chain :D

Anyone hear of the fight, yes fight, between traders in the market hall yesterday ?

One was Russel from Tricketts café, the other was the old bloke that works in Riley’s dvd’s on Wednesdays. The old bloke suffered a bloody nose, one of the asian traders got a clout when he tried to intervene and the Police were called.

As far as I’m aware the old bloke was badgering Russel for a brew and for whatever reason exception was taken.

I don’t know whether charges are being pressed but irrespective of the Police stance you would have thought Market Hall management would have suspended each party with immediate effect pending an investigation of some sort. This kind of behaviour would result in instant dismissal by most employers.

Tensions may be running high in there at the moment but this is unacceptable IMO

Are you sure it wasn't one of these?

Happening - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A piece of community art theatre, funded by the Lotto?

Perhaps the traders are going to give a performance every week.

Whatever - maybe we should have one of these every day. It will soon bring in the punters. Especially for wednesday trading.

That'd fill the Market Hall, it could be like American wrestling for Accrington.

The Oswaldtwistle Oligarch vs The Rishton Avenger?

They've already got their Victoriana costumes and I'll stun the crowd with a natty red spandex number.

Any takers?

Natty red spandex is so lowly Ken. You need something more "entertaining" and cool. Unless its mud wrestling in which case a hose will be needed.

Mud wrestling would mess up my hair.

I'll let the photoshop experts design a costume for Kenny Maverick, the Rishton Avenger.

No need for Photoshop, here's one I took of the two of you at the last Council meeting:-

Didn't think anyone would remember that.

You'll notice that while I try to remain calm and collected, Peter still attempts to smile for the cameras....
