And the Forerunner too all this ? Despite the obvious uproar that will be forthcoming from outraged opposition ! Can you in all honesty justify the extended opening of assets which aren't used/underused ? (When was the last time you had to attend magistrates/County Court ?) Or for that matter Buildings which fail to comply to standards so vociferously demanded by the previous Government (Equality = disabled access, health & safety & any number of other demands) ?

It really comes down to basic Husbandry, if it can't be afforded it should be disposed of so long as what remains is sufficient for the job in hand. Your outrage is more to do with Political allegiance than a genuine dismay that everyone can't have a court on their doorstep. (Which most of the folk wouldn't need anyway)

This is great, lets remember 1997, a certain party told us 'Tough on Crime,Tough on the Causes of Crime'.

It was great when they Closed Accrington Police station at night....
And created the PCSO.
Very tough:eek:

PCSO's are going as well later this year so the little darlings will have even more free reign over the streets. They may not be ideal but they do serve a purpous especialy when the whole of accrington/hyndburn finds its self policed by only 3 police officers on a saturday night like it has been previously.I was told by one attending officer that there was only 3 officers on duty and two of them were sat in police vans in town center trying to make it look like there was more of them than what there actualy was and if there was any trouble they would have to hope officers in blackburn wernt busy and able to attend. That was under labour rule but lets be honest there hasnt been sufficient policing for many years now yet whoever is in power always claims to be tougher on crime but always manages to cut resources for the police.I bet more money is spent policing countries we have no buisness been in than our own streets
