Back to your History for the Simple-minded book.

This is nothing like Watergate.

There we saw the power of great journalism, thanks to the Washington Post, the New York Times, and Time magazine, in uncovering corrupt politicans, and the eventual resignation of Nixon.

Better to keep your mouth shut and let people think your an idiot, than opening it and taking away any reasonable doubt;)

It doesn't take a genius to say that we haven't seen the end of it.
After all, Rebekah Brooks has already intimated (or she might even have come right out and said it) that there is much more brown stuff to hit the fan.
Why else would Murdoch be keeping her cosy? She knows where the skeletons are and I would guess she is prepared to rattle 'em.

This is true, and obvious to those who think. However, since Watergate, every scandal, or hint of it, has become a "gate" And we can't let facts get in the way of sensationalism, can we;)

The News of the World scandal is even making the news over here ... albeit after the real news, like the latest trades in hockey and the state of the wheat crop in Saskatchewan:D

the times and sun newspapers are owned by news international same owners:rolleyes: i said we could have used the profits from gas and oil to invest in renewable energy as the oil and gas will run out one day and we could be self sufficient rather relying on other nations.the money we have spent in wars because of oil would have been spent .and as i said could this be our watergate as an example.now all the political parties have joined forces which is unpredecented..and jaysay lol you must be the dum duck if you cant answer;)
