Some good points but here in the USA if the manufacturers made economic engines then like europe they would tax it to the hilt and also consumer pressure is really active, just recently we had a month when the state of Florida put no tax on gas because of the recent increases this was because a lot of people complained to there representives (mp) and it is election year but peer presure does work.

It's the same old thing isn't it, we are British so we don't complain. IF we shouted as loud as other nations do, we might get some action, although looking at this shower masquerading as a Government, they wouldn't listen to anything anyone said.

Most of what we pay in petrol is tax. If other countries can sell petrol at much lower prices, that is obvious. What can we do about it?
