Oliver Letwin

Minister slammed over holiday slur - Main Section - Yorkshire Post

Don't you love it when a politician opens his mouth and puts his size 9 green wellington in it.

What are the odds on this barnpot still being a minister at the end of the week?

Well at least he did not sell off more than Half our country's gold reserve when it was at the bottom of the market, losing more than £2 billion pounds, or £2,000,000,000.00.
I can think of worse things than that.

Seems funny that some people forget serious things and clutch at straws with trivia to score points these days, oh hum;)

many times people from all sides have slagged selling gold reserves off. it happened its history, but sad gets keep refering to the fact, n regard what letwin thinks about ordinary working folk as acceptable, well it aint n it aint trivia its what the knob really thinks.:(

It simply confirms the public opinion that those in positions of power (placed there by the public they so often demean & disparage) are so far detached from the everyday realities of life for normal people that they fail to have any empathy or compassion for the populace despite the drivel they oft espouse. :(

perfectly true, its sickening though that B.G. n Jaysay choose to ignore that fact n divert to things that most condemned long ago, it speaks volumes to me of the mentality of em.

To be fair Cashy, I think Letwin is a idiot. Rory Bremner used to portray him as a 17th century Fop.
The man should not hold a position in government. The sad fact is neither should the one eyed fool that went before him.
I mealy thought that this was another chance to start banging on about the good old days.

All politicians are far removed from the general public, end of. But what choice do we have, Dictatorship? not doing too well in Lybia and Cote du Ivory (Ivory Coast).
