latest in PC bull
 
coffee slpluttered over the keyboard with this one ........seems some School official here in the US has come up with a Lulu , Children in the school will no longer be allowed Easter Eggs .......... from now on they will recieve Spring Spheres .

apparently we are 5 years behind the usa with crime but ahead of them by 5 years with political correctness so i guess it evens out :)

So stupidity isn't just a national trait then ! Did they give any specific reason ? (e.g. so as not to offend xyz ).

That teacher should be sacked.

Spheres are perfectly round, whilst eggs are ovoid or......errr egg shaped!

Spring Ovoids, perhaps? But that sounds like a seasonal medical complaint downstairs.

:D That crossed my mind too (a short journey):D .... but I think the word at issue is "Easter". To hell with geometry, as long as we don't offend folks.:cool:

thinking about it ,and giving the benefit of doubt, maybe the teacher intended to incorporate the different shapes into his/her math/geometry class, ie the calculate volume/surface areas of spheres, ovoids and ellipsoids , maybe the 7/8 yr olds in the Seattle area are really bright. :eek: ;)
