Damn there being no election for me this year.

Think I'll move to Rishton.

:D

I didn't actually realise that we could promise to renovate private homes as part of our election campaign. There's a loft conversion required at 9 Bridge Street that I know needs doing.

Here's one for the HBC reader to feed back to HQ: I've been told by the legal department that I am perfectly within my rights to film the count on election night.

Let's see how long it takes for some form of warning to be issued.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.

No, quite the reverse after the past couple of months' worth of 'good news' and handing out £2m from the reserves.

I'll amend that, it's actually £2m from the transitional funding.

The figure from the reserves is quite quite different....

Do you have to have a little lawyer, sat at your side, when you post now?

:rolleyes::D:p

So long as everything is above board on election night there shouldn't be any problem really, should there?

You never know who's waiting to twist your every word, do you?

On a completely different note, I understand that a Conservative leaflet in Great Harwood has been the cause of a legal dispute with the Independents.

'If you want things to get nasty.....' Those words were fired at me in full council and then a month later this happens.

Funny how karma works, isn't it?

No, there shouldn't.

TV crews quite legally film these events.

I think I'll put a tender in to do the costumes, and hair and makeup.

Time for some to dust off their muffs.

:rolleyes::D

Having sat through many an election count at Hyndburn Sports Centre, the thought of watching a re-run on video doesn't fill me with enthusiasm!:eek::eek:

I was more picturing someone getting a bindi.

Being repeatedly jabbed on the forehead, and covered in red dots.

:D

Believe me, it will certainly only end up being the edited highlights.

For myself, I'm only interested in the Rishton result but who knows what might be worth capturing on the night?

There's waiting lists to live in some areas of the borough.

All works perfectly well.

As long as you don't move a house full of chavs in the middle of elderly residents' homes, or visa versa.

Well vetted tenants, equal happy tenants.

Which doesn't happen believe me

It's looking like it could well be an interesting count this year.

I'll have to remember to put a tie on Ken.
