Andrew Marr abandons injunction over affair with fellow journalist | Mail Online
There has been a lot of talk within the media over the last few weeks that people such as footballers are taking out injunctions to cover up affairs. Andrew Marr, the BBC political reporter is the first to admit that he used an injunction to hide an affair with a fellow journalist. The fact is these people are only able to take out these gaging orders because they are well off, do you think its right to use the law in this way. form my point of view I don't give a monkeys what other people do in the bedroom it has no affect on my life what-so-ever so I don't actually care less, but I do think its a bit much using the law to cover up your indiscretions, to me the answer lies in peoples own hands just "Don't Do It" if you don't want to get caught, end of story |
Re: What do you think on this issue
totally agree with you John, what has anyones sex lives got to do with anyone else? newspapers are a bit like certain accywebbers 'gossips are us' you'd be amazed at what i have been told about the majority of accywebbers by a certain member, so what if a couple of members on here enjoy doing things on webcam, so what if someones house is an absolute state, so what if someone likes younger men, so what if people put on an illness just to claim benefits
what other people do in their private lives has nothing at all to do with anyone else, people who listen and believe everything gossips say are no better themselves as for Andrew Marr, he's just a pratt |
Re: What do you think on this issue
I'm suprised it wasn't the woman who took the injunction out.
So no one knew she'd been diggled by Andrew Marr.:D:eek: |
Re: What do you think on this issue
lol its one of those aint it Gary...who would admit to that

Re: What do you think on this issue
He is a hypocrite with a capital H......he would not think twice(as a journalist) to reporting if some other person had been found to have a sleazy background, yet he expects to apply different rules to his own indiscretions.
And Shaz and Gary.....ooh, you are so right about the woman being the one to take out the injunction.......I wouldn't ever want anyone to know that I had been 'intimate' with Andrew Marr......he's as 'fow' as a summons. |

Seriously though it seems it's only the rich & famous who can circumvent their lack of standards & morals by waving wads of cash at the problem, justice should apply equally across the board to everyone, rich or poor & we should all be held accountable by our peers but that doesn't appear to be the case. As people say "Money talks". |

I crochet for world peace. I've received state funding to make a lovely wooly scarf, which will be big enough to go right around the world, and keep us all snuggly. www.rindyintheraw/killerneedles :D |

If privacy was readily available at the time of the Profumo affair, the political arena would likely be different now.
I am for open honesty in all matters - if it needs to be secret - don't do it! |

Re: What do you think on this issue
Seems to me that if you can afford the massive cost of taking out these injunctions then fair enough...and this government are in the proccess of denying legal aid for the vast majority who may be wrongly accused ... one law for the rich, a different law for the less well off.. typical stuff!
