Dear Doctor Maggie,

Do you think I should stop taking my statins then?
As it's usually ones Doctor who orders blood tests and receives the results thereof, whose interpretation do you think we should ask for?

Yours faithfully,

Worried of Hyndburn.

You have the internet access just as I do.
Look, and decide after you have looked.;)

Surprisingly enough, after years of docs trying to get everyone over 55 on statins, even the mainstream media are reporting serious doubts.

Having muscle weakness and loss of short term memory are you?:D

Best advice there is. No good relying on anybody else. Conventional doctors only know the half of it and alternative ones as well. How often has your GP asked you about exercise or what food you eat? The answer is NEVER for me. And yet food is the drug we all take most of all and exercise is so important. How often has your GP offered you an allergy test? NEVER for me. And yet for me personally, I had one up Gorse Rd in Blackburn years ago which sorted me out very quickly. When doctors or alternatives don't work, we just have to take Margaret's advice.

The new blood test sounds like another gimmick to me, another way of making money out of the vulnerable.
