The liberal voters are normal hard working folk who voted for people they believed in.. time has told that the people they believed in are worse than your everyday tory or labour.. the bods who voted Lib-Dem are not to blame for this fiasco of a government.. but they will take the blame.. and the tories are the winners ;)

Well in terms on common sense the thread starter has a hell of a lot in common with Mr Cable only Mr Cable is more feasible than some ignorant Jock who only likes to point score, or makes a very poor attempt at point scoring;)

A narrow minded bigot, the only thing you can do is scour the news websites and put in a few links, your like the other like minded prat in London who has the debating skills of a slug, and that's being detrimental to slugs

To be quite honest I have no intention in opening any link put on this web site by you and from what I can gather neither has anybody else, except maybe your friend in the south, so do yourself a favour and don't bother

Basically, it's important to try to keep a company trading even if it means laying off some staff because when the upturn comes that nucleus company can react more quickly to market demand as it still has the expertise and contacts. A newly formed company doesn't have the contacts and probably doesn't have the cash to buy all the machine tools that would be required.

I blame television.

All those silly Dobbins who thought that 'that nice Nick Clegg came across really well', in those pre-election televised debates.

We are reaping, with the Liberals in co-power, what you sowed.

I agree with you G.
How can you make something so momentous into a version of Britain's Got Politicians?
It was a farce and should never ever be repeated.

I think the politicians forget that they are elected to do a job of work(look after running the Shop that is GB.Co.UK)...they are not stars, they are not celebrities......and performing well in front of a camera does not in itself ensure that they will do a good job in that big house on the banks of the Thames.

It was all spin and media hype of the very worst kind.

Vince Cable is about the only politician who "got it" that Gordon Brown's debt-based economy was doomed to crash. He was the only one who "saw it coming", when the economy was apparently booming. He deserves a great deal of credit for this in my view.

I think it is a shame he now has to tow the line a lot more, however I liked it when he told Question Time the truth about the Housing Bubble and that we are the most indebted nation on earth.

Yes, I heard him tackle Gordon Brown about it too. Although I didn't vote for the Liberals, I felt really sorry for them when they opened the books and and realised that GB Limited was bankrupt and there was no way on earth they could hand out goodies to those who'd voted for them.

Oh yes, Vince Cable is a politician of great principle.

Pre-election, pledging to oppose any rise in student tuition fees.

Post-election, as a member of the coalition government, voting to increase those same tuition fees.

The Liberals had it great for about a hunderd years. Coming out with all kinds of guff, knowing they hadn't a cat in Hell's chance of forming a government.

Until a load of numpties watched the telly, and thought 'That nice Nick Clegg' deserved to win Pol Idol.

I think it stuck in his craw having to defend the student loan hike. Let's face it, he was "got to" with the fake female journalist story. They showed him what the system is capable of with that one. Who knows, perhaps they have more on him, that is why he had to toe the line.
