On page 5 of this topic you can clearly see that I stated: I don't think we should be too bewildered at PBs relentless hold on his ward if the majority of the constituents are true blue Tories

It's ok, I accept your retraction G :D

...and I posted in reply that your 'if' is wrong.

The majority of residents, a ward not being a 'consituency', are not 'true blue Tories'.

They vote for the person, in this case one with a long track record, in historically a Labour ward, rather than the political party.

Twice you've wrongly posted the figure of £38,000.00 in this thread. Even after being corrected, now you've once again wrongly refered to ward residents as 'constituents.

As with throw away rermarks, accuracy, when it comes to facts, is much appreciated on here.

So do please make a stab at posting factually.

Your quite right in saying that the ward isn't a Tory ward G. in the days of the old Ossy UDC when there were 5 wards most of the now St Andrews ward was then Foxhill Bank Ward a safe Labour Seat, it had been a labour seat since the war until 1966 when one Kenneth Joseph Hargreaves won the seat beating a chap called, I think, Edwin Yates, who lived on Colliers Street. followed the year after by Alex Stoneham and the year after that by Dorris Clegg, people in Oswaldtwistle vote for the person on most occasions which is the way it should be, that's the only reason PB is elected because no matter what anybody says he's don't more that his fair share for Ossy over the years, something I know you are well aware of
