Waste Of Money

On Saturday morning Lancashire County Council appeared to be servicing the street lights along Whalley Rd. Nothing strange there, however, they have left them all switched on permanently.

Does anybody understand why this is?

No, because according to newspaper reports there are many councils that are making the street lights either dimmer after midnight, or turning them off altogether...to on save electricity.

I've just checked outside & they are definately still on. That's now been 52 hours.
