Stolen Pushbikes (probably)

Just seen thre very new looking pushbikes on the back of a transit pickup truck, 1 purple and two pink coloured, if anybody has lost / had them nicked drop me a line and I will happily send you a photo with registration number etc. The van was seen in the clayton le moors area this afternoon and they are on the top of the pile. I presume people don't give the pushbikes to these people so I would think they have been lifted.

You can post the picture on here if you like as it was taken in a public place so you don't need the permission of those in the picture.

...or from a household with more-money-than-sense, but I think your theory is more likely - they do look in good nick, don't they?

I don't understand why the Police don't stop vehicles like that one and ask where the contents came from.

because...(and I watch loads of reality police shows, so I'm almost a lawyer!!!!) if the thieves are'nt caught actually stealing them there's not much the police can do if the victim hasn't come forward.

Do they not have to prove where it came from?

They should have a waste transfer licence to carry scrap and the police have recently been quite fervent on stopping scrap vans and going over them to make sure everything is as it should be. And if not the van and its contents can be seized.

Not sure, but I've shouted at the TV many a night due to toothless policing.

I'm watching that Saints and Scroungers on BBC at 11-45 everyday, the scroungers are benefit cheats, there are some getting done for making false claims for over £100,000 but get very little time in nick, mostly suspended sentences and community service orders, especially women:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Wonder how many of 'em actually pay any of the money back.

Those who are caught have to pay back (with interest) what they defrauded in benefits.
