On this issue, not knowing much, besides what was printed in the Observer, it seems a bit of a non-story.

Apparently Hyndburn has historically had the lowest cremation/interment costs in the county. Which are to be increased because of the cuts that need to be made, and this will bring us in line with the rest of Lancashire.

Sounds like an inevitable course of action.

So you can hop back in your budgie cage Little Blue, because I'd have said exactly the same thing, whoever happened to be in control of H.B.C. at the time this happened.

Let me spell it out very clearly, so even those blinded by party allegiance can understand.
