Problem with this is that it is an attempt to stereotype a bunch of Accy Webbers ... In my experience, and, admittedly, it is limited to this forum, most of them defy categorization. Sure, there are some on here that qualify as small "c" conservatives (some, the thick ones' from Ossy;):D are large "C"). But many of these same folks strongly support the NHS, maybe not agreeing with how it is working, but definitely supporting the underlying philosophy of universal health care. They support the death penalty, but at the same time express concern for unfortunates in our societies. They believe in law and order, but also in justice. Without considering who they are, who we are, you are implying (and we all know what "Tea Party" implies, even without the details) that they are a bunch of right wing, born again, anti-gay, anti-choice bigots who secretly think that Obama, for example, is an uppity commie nigger. If you attempt to initiate a reasoned debate with a start like this, you are going to fail. All you will get is a whole bunch of mostly justified insults, which will no doubt reinforce in your mind, your status as beleagured voice of socialist sanity in a conservative wilderness.

Eric, spot on analysis of many Accywebber's views - left wing traditional Labour socialists with right wing Tory views on issues like crime & punishment, immigration etc. I think you might find that Cmon himself is a bit that way too! ;)

I don't think C'mon would know a reasoned debate if one jumped up and bit him on the bum.
His M.O. is to post a link with perhaps just one line....that is if you are lucky.
I can't quite decide whether he operates in this way so that we cannot really know what his true stance is...or whether he is too inarticulate to put a reasoned post together.
