Re: Banking Crisis

It took 18 years and untold hardship for the last tory government to get a grip on the economy of this country..in those 18 years they destroyed the manufaturing , they destroyed our mines .. we still import coal from eastern europe..they sold everything we had..not for economic reasons but for idealist reasons and we will suffer forever.

A bit like Gordon Brown and the gold reserves then.....and he knew of the banking crisis a good 7 months before the doo-doo hit the fan and did nothing......what a good management strategy that was.

Which is what I have been saying since.......well, the year dot.
They don't go into politics for the good of our health...they go into it because it is financially worthwhile......both while they are in office, and also afterwards.

I do not consent to be screwed - I do not vote - Hobson's choice is no choice at all.

If everybody withdrew from voting, none of them would have the authority to govern, so they would be compelled to reconsider their priorities - serve people, not the banking/elitists.

I would prefer a commune in an isolated valley in the Himalayas, where decisions are based on consensus and are made to benefit the welfare of the community.

Happy now, Atarah?:)

Well, 29 threads later, I am still confused as to why this is on History and Heritage, cos I certainly aint learnt owt!
